Hi, this is my own song, got inspired by the series

Wow, really beautifully and haunting song. Plus a beautiful singing voice :) Not sure if you can relate to this? But I feel like the lyrics really capture some of the thought process is like when you’re in the kind of situation. Done with the rage, saying sorry to someone that hurt you cause you feel like you made them hurt but don’t deserve to be seriously hurt or get injuries until maybe you start to feel bad they do it because they feel hurt. I really love the last part of the lyrics “you can’t see through you’re madness, you’re mad. And sad.” The person being abusive can’t see through their entitlement, excuses, and/or justifications for hurting the person because they are mad, and sad with their reasoning of why they do it. You really do start to wonder when it will end or how it is going to end up.

Or how those end lyrics could even the apply about the person staying....”can’t see through you’re madness, your mad and you’re sad.” Person staying can’t see through the madness of not leaving. Mad can imply crazy. Cause insanity is define as doing the same thing over and over again but expecting something to change and that’s person staying isn’t like a bad insane but insane because thinking the abusive partner will change won’t most likely happen

@@alesetierney370 First of all thank you for your compliments! :) I've decided to put this song on my upcoming EP as Khai so soon it will be available in better quality :) As for the lyrics - in my mind the ending lines describe the thought process of Celeste as she realises that he is mad and he is sad and he isn't going to change. The song started with "I'm in your shoes but I can't see through your madness" as in she is trying to understand him, she's trying to find a solution for both of them. She feels compassion towards him "Oh, I'm sorry you've been hurt" but as time goes by she starts to understand that she can't do anything about this anymore. "The bruises will fade along with my love, I'm done with your rage and cage". All in all I tried to wrap her story up in this one song and I hope that it will give someone else the strength to leave this kind of relationship, because I understand that it's hard to leave when you've already fallen for the guy and he has promised you love - it's not easy to let go of these dreams.

Based on this song, you really know how to get to the heart through music. If they ever make a big little lies season 3 I hope this song is feature on it. I can just see it for the series. This song really gets to me emotionally but I love it.
